Vegetarian Reception Sites in San Antonio, TX When to reserve site?
My wedding in San Antonio, TX is only 7 months away and I have not yet picked out a reception site. We really would like to have our reception at a restaurant that has a private room, a dance floor, a sound system (for us to play music) AND serves vegetarian food. The sound system part is negotiable, because we can always rent that equipment, but it's extremely difficult for us to plan this wedding while not living in San Antonio (we are both students at UT Austin). What we do need is a list of suitable places so that when we DO go to San Antonio we can just easily visit the places on the list and pick one.
So, basically I have two questions. First, do you have suggestions for a reception place in San Antonio that meets my criteria? Second, how many months in advance should we reserve the reception site? And when should we meet with a cake baker?
I think it would be easier to book a reception hall and have a caterer serve a vegetarian meal. Most caterers should be able to do that. As far as the sound system, most reception halls and restaurants do not have this type of equipment available because most people bring their own or hire a DJ. You may need to rethink and be prepared to be flexible.
Also I agree that you need to book it ASAP. Most reception sites are booked at least 1 year in advance.
You can meet with the bakery any time now. I say the sooner the better, then it's one more thing you can check off your list.
