Tips On How To Look Taller

There are certain people who are gifted with height, but if you fail to belong in that group, you are probably asking what happened to you. But instead of thinking how tall you would have become if you have tall parents, why not think of ways on how to look taller? Seriously, complaining about your height will do you no good, so here are the ways on creating an illusion that you are taller than you actually stand:

{Lose that fat and Wear the right Posture}
Short and fat is not the body you want to have, in fact, being short and being fat makes you look even shorter. This is because if you are heavy, you are prone to slouch plus the fact that people just see your round body that looks wider and shorter. {Slouching can easily cut at least 2 inches of your height}. Alternately, if you are small and possess a good posture, your will stand taller that your actual height. Possessing a good posture while you sit, stand, and walk can go a long way in making you look taller.

Gain weight
If you happen to be small and thin, don't think that others will think that you are taller, the fact is, being skinny will highlight your height and may even give you a childlike appearance. {Perform weight training exercises and try to gain some pounds and beef up that arms, shoulders, and legs}. Do not go overboard, though; too much muscle can make you appear puffy and can accentuate your small height even further. Perform weight training exercises that will develop muscles that make you look longer.

Stretching
While there is no scientific study that will verify the claim that stretching really does make you taller, there are lots of testimonials from real individuals that claim they have actually grown taller after following a stringent stretching exercise program. Others would say that they have grown [two2] inches taller as a result of stretching over the period of months. It is possible that stretching improves their posture that makes them look taller.

It's all about the clothes
As a general rule, do not wear wearing clothes with checkered, horizontal lines, and tartan patterns; instead, wear vertical patterns or pin-striped patterns to make you look longer. Do not wear clothes that will make you look bulky and small such as baggy pants and oversized sweaters. Do not wear contrasting clothes and pants together—this will show the true length of your legs and make you look shorter.

The Shoes That You Wear
For women, wearing high-heeled shoes can easily add your height as much as four inches—any height beyond that is still okay but very few people have the skill to wear it properly. For men, four-inch shoes may not be very manly so try to choose a pair of shoes that is at least 1 ½ high .

Surgery can also be an option to look taller, but it is expensive and is only applicable to people with extreme cases and those who have been involved in an accident, as advised, stick to the mentioned ways on how to look taller.
