The Fascinating Background About Frozen Cocktail Devices
The slushee was supposedly invented in about 1800 in a bar named Venus in Santiago, Chile, roughly twenty three miles on the eastern side of the Tiano iron mine, by a collection of U.S. mining engineers. Stories persist that Jennings Cox invented the drink when he completely ran out of gin whilst entertaining American guests.
Initially the slushee was dished up in a extra tall glass jam-packed with cracked ice. A tsp of sugar was poured over the ice and the juice of a couple of limes was squeezed on the sugar. 2 or three ounces of rum finished the mix. The glass was next frosted by mixing with a long-handled spoon.
Later the Slushee developed to be blended in a shaker with identical ingredients but with shaved ice. After a complete shaking, it was poured into a chilled flute glass.
Consumption of the slushy drink remained local until 1909, when Admiral Lucius W. Johnson, a U.S. Navy health officer, tried Cox's beverage. Johnson consequently introduced it into the Army and Navy Club in Washington, D.C.
The slushee has become progressively more popular and the slushee spread across North & South America rapidly, until Prohibition in the United states of america (1920–1933) slowed up the momentum substantially. Even so, once alcohol was made legitimate once again in the US, the idea of the slushee spread swiftly across north America, and the trend passed on around the planet. The slushee stayed well-liked until the 1960’s, when various recreational drugs started to be popular.
Today the frozen slushie machine is now very popular. A Slush machine creates an instant frozen slushie. The slushie mix which is a combination of fresh fruit and normal water, is poured into the Slush machine and within 1 hour the equipment creates frozen slushies with out all the fuss of blending each drink. It is this convenience in producing the refreshments that has seen the widespread use of slushy machines at all types of functions. Slush machine hire has become very popular for wedding receptions celebrations and corporate occasions all over the world.
