Looking Into The Perfect Male Cable Channel
Have you ever thought about the perfect cable channel for men? There are some networks that are designed for males. However, there could be a few improvements made. The perfect channel may never exist. Perhaps that is due to the imperfection of the world in general. It is still nice to dream about what could be. It costs noting and cannot get you into trouble.
Television commercials should be restricted from the perfect channel. Men do not want to be interrupted from something important like football or their favorite sports show. If they have ads, they need to be very selective. No ads about wedding bands for men. There is a time and place for everything. Television viewing may not be the time or the place.
Thirty seconds is the longest that any TV commercial break should last. The average male attention span is similar to that. When a man sits through endless commercials, he becomes numb. He cannot enjoy the show he is watching. He may forget much about the show, also.
Commercials can be allowed. However, they should be monitored. For example, one five minute commercial break can be allowed, daily. This will give the average woman time to run her Hoover Windtunnel bagged vacuum across the living room. On Saturday and Sunday, there might be a four minute break between TV shows. Males are known to drink more liquids on the weekends. They would need appropriate personal breaks.
Sport shows should also be restricted. No golf please. There is a channel solely devoted to that sport. It is not a bad sport to play. However, it can be excruciating for many people to have to sit through. Poker shows should only be allowed once a day. They are entertaining, but not for endless hours. Only major sports should be allowed. If they are unavailable, show games from the past. Remember the male attention span. It will be like watching a new game.
All movies need to be closely monitored. This includes Space action movies and spy films. Programmers are under the misconception that all males like these movies. This is not the case. When these movies become marathons, it should be considered cruel and unusual punishment. There is also no place for porn movies. Most men like them. However, it is too easy for young people to watch cable movies.

The perfect male cable channel will have severe restrictions on commercials. It will also feature a limited amount of boring programs. This may greatly improve viewing for the average male. They can sit in their chair, under blankets, and enjoy their televisions. You can design the perfect TV channel for men. Unfortunately, it will only be in your mind.
